Rob Zombie started making horror movies because his bands kept breaking up due to fighting.
The “Dragula’ singer was in White Zombie from the mid 80s to 1998, when they disbanded due to fights between the band and because he had broken up with his girlfriend, bass player Sean Yseult, when he went solo, but in 2001 after his new touring band also started arguing he decided to let music take a backseat while he made films.
He said “You spend so much time together and people change. Money changed things. Money seems to heighten people’s personalities. “We were playing arena shows and no body is talking to each other. I could not take nay more drama between musicians. I decided to stop making music and started making movies.”
Rob has previously said his early experienced of forming a group in New York were not successful, as many of the people was ho wanted to play with him were unreliable”.
Rob has now returned to music and released four albums to date, in addition to directing six full length films, including ‘The Devil’s Rejects’ and ‘House of 1,000 Corpses”.
He will be touring the UK with fellow rocker Marilyn Manson this month on the Twins of Evil co-headlining tour.
