Disney CEO Bob Iger has announced that the new story is in development for the ‘Incredibles 2′ movie and another ‘Cars’ movie. The announcement made on Tuesday, March 18, at a shareholders meeting. With the superhero franchise growing immensely these past few years the new sequel for Incredibles will have plenty of material to work with. The sequel comes in almost a decade after the release of the first ‘Incredibles’ movie that grossed in a massive worldwide earning of $632,107,545. The Incredibles has been at the centre of speculation and rumors after the first movie did very well at the worldwide box office. ‘Cars’ another massive franchise created by Pixar will also see its third movie coming to the screens, the previous two movies did extremly well at the box office with the ‘Cars’ earning $461,667,967 and ‘Cars 2′ earning $560,155,383 at the box office. The movie also became a massive merchandise franchise for Pixar. This news although a hit among the kids has not been taken lightly by critics who are now starting to doubt Pixar’s reputation for quality and critically acclaimed entertainment. Pixar fans have become vary of the company focusing on too much on the sequels and not giving enough attention to creating new movies for the audience. Pixar President Ed Catmull came to the rescue when announced that Pixar will focus on releasing at the “one original film every year” while also admitting that the company also plans to release a sequel every other year. Currently the Pixar team is working on “Finding Dory”, the highly anticipated sequel to the hit Pixar movie “Finding Nemo” and has been dated to hit the theaters in 2016.
